Women’s IPL 2025 Auction Highlights
The WPL 2025 auction took place on December 15, 2024, where five teams strategically acquired 19 players for a collective sum of ₹9.05 crore to bolster their line-ups.
The most expensive signing of the auction was Simran Shaikh, secured by Gujarat for ₹1.90 crore. Gujarat further strengthened their squad by adding Deandra Dottin for ₹1.70 crore.
A standout moment of the auction was the acquisition of 16-year-old G Kamalini by Mumbai for ₹1.60 crore, following her remarkable performance in the Women’s U19 Asia Cup, where she led India to a commanding nine-wicket victory over Pakistan.
Bengaluru (RCB) reinforced their squad by signing Prema Rawat, a talented leg-spinner from Uttarakhand, for ₹1.20 crore, along with promising players Joshitha VJ, Jagravi Pawar, and Raghvi Bist.
Delhi focused on securing power-hitters, bringing in Nandini Kashyap, Scotland wicketkeeper Sarah Bryce, and Women’s U19 captain Niki Prasad.
Other noteworthy signings included Nadine de Klerk, who switched from RCB to Mumbai, and Australian leg-spinner Alana King, picked up by UP after impressing in the Women’s Big Bash League with the Perth Scorchers.
