Antim’s main rivals in the other half of the draw will be Fujinami and Emma Malmgren of Sweden. Antim is anticipated to face fifth seed Maria Prevolaraki of Greece or Annika Wendle of Germany if she advances to the quarterfinals.
Currently holding the gold medal from the Asian Games, Fujinami is a two-time world champion, two-time Asian champion, and has gone over a hundred matches without losing. Pang Qianyu, a two-time world medal winner and silver medallist from Tokyo 2020, is also competing in the event.
Due to a shortage of daily passes for the Olympics Athletes Village, Antim’s support staff has been unable to visit the Indian wrestler, which has hindered her progress.
