Unnao Tragedy: A bus going from Shivhar district to Delhi via Motihari met with a horrific road accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. So far 18 people have died in this accident, out of which 15 people are said to be from Shivhar and Motihari of Bihar.

This bus was running without a permit and without insurance. Initial investigation has revealed that this bus was registered in Mahoba district in the name of a farmer.
According to the information, it belonged to Shivnarayan Singh, a resident of Shivhar. Chandan Jaiswal, a resident of Delhi, used to operate buses from Paharganj. Now in this case, the RTO officer will file an FIR in the name of the bus owner at Behta Mujawar police station.
According to the information, this bus was being operated on the basis of a tourist permit. That is, according to the rules, this bus did not have a permit to run inter-state. By looking at the picture of this bus named Namaste Bihar, its condition can be guessed that it was in a very dilapidated condition. Plyboards were installed as a makeshift arrangement in place of glass on the broken windows of the bus. The bus also lacked other facilities. A woman victim of the bus accident said that the owner of this bus runs many other buses. But, when we were about to start the journey, we did not know that we would be seated in a dilapidated bus.

Legal aspects are not followed properly in private buses going from Bihar to other states. In such a situation, news of bus accidents keep coming every day. In the Unnao bus accident, 13 people from Motihari have died, including six members of a family from Fenhara police station, Asfaq (42), Md. Islam (35), Munchun Khatoon (38), Gulnaz Khatoon (12), Kamrun Nesha (30), Sohail (3), besides Salim and Shamim, sons of Mohammed Aslam, resident of Pipra Kothi, Jai Sayed, son of Mohammed, resident of Madhuban, Phool Mohammed, son of Nasrullah Dewan, resident of Motihari, Rupesh Kumar, son of Vinod, resident of Motihari, Baiju Kumar, resident of Motihari and Meraj Alam, resident of Adapur.
Now the family members of the deceased Ashfaq are saying that the whole family used to work as labourers in Delhi. This time they were going by bus as they could not get train tickets, but died on the way. After the accident, there is a lot of crying in the village of the deceased. The passengers who survived the bus accident said that they were going to Delhi to earn money through this bus, most of the people used to do some small work in Delhi. They had returned to their home in Bihar for some work. Now this accident happened while returning.
