According to NDRF inspector Gaurav Chauhan, more bodies are probably still to be found at the site of the Ghatkopar billboard fall.
The number of people killed in the Mumbai billboard fall in Ghatkopar increased to 14 on Tuesday morning. Over eighteen hours have passed since the start of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)-led rescue operation, and it might stretch until Tuesday night.
We are unable to use metal cutters to remove the billboard’s metal panels because the incident occurred in a gas station and could spark a fire that could result in another catastrophe. The NDRF inspector Gaurav Chauhan, who is now at the scene, stated, “Earlier, we had deployed a hydraulic crane in the spot, but that also didn’t work out well due to the excessive weight of the object. Now, we are using manual hydraulic cutters for clearing the debris.”
“We are currently working at the location where two-wheelers used to line up to fill their tanks with fuel after clearing the area of four-wheelers where nine dead were found. As a result, we anticipate finding more bodies at this location, according to Chauhan.
“We have cleared the area of four-wheelers where nine deceased were discovered, and are now working at the spot where two-wheelers used to queue up to fill their tanks with fuel. Therefore, Chauhan said, we expect to find more bodies at this place.
