After 10.1 overs, the Delhi Capitals (DC) vs. Punjab Kings (PBKS) IPL 2025 match at Dharamsala has been canceled.

“The Punjab Kings v Delhi Capitals match (Match#58) in Tata IPL was forced to be abandoned due to a significant technical failure at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala,” according to an IPL statement. “One of the light towers at the HPCA stadium failed because of a local power outage. The inconvenience to those in the stadium is regretted by BCCI.
PBKS openers Priyansh Arya (70) and Prabhsimran Singh (50*) controlled the action, putting together a 122-run opening partnership off 61 balls in the 10.1 overs that were feasible.
Arya top-edged a slower-ball bouncer from T Natarajan against his helmet, which popped up for a straightforward catch, and dropped in the first ball of the eleventh over. Then, when the stadium’s floodlights failed, the players exited the field. At approximately 9.40 p.m. IST, the game was canceled.
Mitchell Starc and Dushmantha Chameera were removed by Arya and Prabhsimran during the powerplay before the abandonment, as PBKS quickly reached 50 for no loss in four overs.

The two also defeated Kuldeep Yadav after the powerplay, hitting him for two sixes and two fours. Arya needed just 25 balls to achieve his third fifty-plus score of the season in the seventh over. Prabhsimran became the first uncapped batter to hit four consecutive half-centuries in the IPL after reaching his personal fifty in the tenth.
On May 11, PBKS will play the Mumbai Indians (MI), a match that was moved from Dharamsala to Ahmedabad. On the same day, DC will play Gujarat Titans (GT) in Delhi.
