In a video uploaded to YouTube by The Hollywood Fix, Ayesha Curry, the wife of Warriors player and Team USA Olympic hero Steph Curry, looked emotional after a heated exchange with French police at an undisclosed location in Paris on Saturday following the gold medal game.
Ayesha carried the couple’s youngest son, Caius, while another child, who appeared to be Curry’s oldest son Canon, walked with a flag slung around his shoulders. During the nearly three-minute encounter, Sonya Curry, the mother of Curry, and Golden State teammate Draymond Green were also speaking with police officers.
Pointing away from the camera, Sonya said to the officers, “Look, they won’t let us go back over there where we came from.” “Neither will they allow the driver to come here, nor will they allow us to return over there.”
When translating the exchange between Sonya and the police, one of the men in the video said, “the president” was on his way, so “nobody’s allowed to cross the street right now until he’s passed.”
Attending the match between France and the United States, French President Emmanuel Macron might have been leaving the arena as well.
“So there’s nothing y’all can do to get them out of here even after you hit the baby in the head?” Green enquired.
It’s unclear which officer Green allegedly struck the child and when the alleged contact happened in relation to the altercation.
The length of the argument, as well as the amount of time that had passed before and after the video started, are all unknown because the video ended after three minutes.
Curry’s family, along with Green, watched the gold medal game on Saturday. Curry scored 24 points, including four 3-pointers in the last three minutes of the game, to help Team USA defeat France, 98-87.
Steve Kerr, the head coach of Team USA and the Warriors, told reporters after the game, “I’ve seen that from Steph a few times, but it never gets old.” “There are many excellent players in this worldwide game, but we believe we have the best players still.” Despite all the noise and pressure, they remained incredibly selfless throughout the entire ordeal. The pressure is on us because we could be the only team in the world whose supporters are embarrassed of them if they win a silver medal.
“However, our players adore pressure, as you witnessed with Steph. They were excellent and they appreciate this atmosphere.
