Actor Shreyas Talpade of Bollywood fell victim to a death hoax. The actor, who has starred in numerous popular comedies, including Housefull 2 and the Golmaal series, responded angrily to the rumors and addressed them on social media.
He started off his lengthy post by stating that he is “ALIVE, HAPPY, and HEALTHY.”
Shreyas expressed his disappointment and anger at the false information, saying that it has upset his family, particularly his young daughter.
“To All of You, I want everyone to know that I am well, happy, and alive. I’ve learned of a post that went viral and claimed my death. Although humor has its place, in my opinion, it can be really harmful when used improperly. What may have begun as a joke is now causing needless anxiety and manipulating the feelings of people who are close to me, particularly my family.”
According to Shreyas Talpade, his daughter is increasingly worried about his health, particularly in light of his heart attack from a year ago.
“Even though my little daughter attends school every day, she is already concerned for my welfare and is inquiring and looking for assurance all the time. This false information simply makes her more afraid and compels her to answer more questions from her teachers and peers, evoking feelings that our family has been attempting to control. I kindly ask those who are promoting this content further to stop and think about the implications. A lot of people have sincerely prayed for me, so it depresses me to see humor used in a way that can be hurtful or offensive.
upset my loved ones and cause havoc in our lives. Spreading such rumors has an impact on the targeted individual as well as their family, particularly on young children who may not fully comprehend the circumstances but feel the emotional toll nevertheless,” he continued in his statement.
Shreyas also gave the trolls a hard time, admonishing them not to make jokes at the expense of other people.
“I sincerely appreciate everyone who has inquired about me during this period. I appreciate your love and concern so much. I have one simple request for the trolls: please stop. Never make jokes at the expense of other people, nor should you treat them in this way. Please be understanding; I wouldn’t want anything similar to happen to you ever again. He concluded his note by saying, “Chasing engagement and likes should never come at the expense of other people’s feelings.”
“No, it’s a conscious decision, and the pace is different. My work used to be my top priority, but it’s not anymore. Right now, my priorities are my family and my health. Work is important, too, but not as important as my family and health. I can therefore do ten things at this time, but I am choosing to only do five. I would therefore like to keep it that way. Of course, there are occasions when you want to participate in projects that cross over, but even in those cases, you should ideally prioritize your health over your work. That’s how things would continue to be,” he stated at the time.
Shreyas had a severe heart attack on December 14, 2023, while in Mumbai filming Welcome To The Jungle.
After being taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital, the actor had an angioplasty.
