While there have long been rumors of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s divorce, a historical account of Jhanvi claiming to be the actor’s wife has emerged.
Known as one of the most loved couples, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have made news since their separate arrivals at Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani’s wedding. While there have been long-running rumors of their divorce, a historical account of a model named Jhanvi Kapoor showing up at the wedding on April 20, 2007, and claiming to be Abhishek’s wife has recently come to light.
This model attempted suicide by severing her wrist, which was deemed a publicity stunt. She was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital. Jhanvi Kapoor paid an amount of Rs 10,000 and was soon freed from custody.
The Ghoomer actor talked about his first meeting with his wife in a throwback interview that went viral online, despite the long-running rumors of their divorce.
“My good friend Bobby Deol was filming Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, his debut feature. He said, “Oh, come for dinner,” when I went to greet him while we were in the same place. That was the first time I had ever interacted with Aishwarya, and it was also her first Hindi film,” Abhishek stated in a 2021 interview with The Ranveer Show.
He went on, “She jokes, ‘I couldn’t understand a word of what you were saying,’ whenever she talks about it. For here I was, a student from an international boarding school who subsequently moved to Boston. At that point, I must have had a very strong accent. “What were you saying?” she asked.
The actor disclosed, “My early years, my training in acting and in the world of cinema and stage, my boarding school days were in English.”
