The Angry Young Men trailer launch in Mumbai on Tuesday was attended by a packed house. Salman Khan would never have missed the global launch. Salman Khan spoke at the event about the legacy of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, saying, “They’ve taken (stories) from life and put it in their cinema.” The remaining authors followed suit, saying, “Cinema se uthake cinema mein daala hai.” “God creates man, but they don’t want to be men anymore,” he continued. They don’t want to be men in this generation. The Bollywood star continued, “But these two here, my father and Javed sahab, are still men and they want to be men.”
Salman Khan talked about the renowned screenwriters and said that people who didn’t have the opportunity to work with them were the ones who usually called them “crazy.” “Many producers and actors asked them to turn down their work. What do people believe that Salam-Javed thinks of themselves, then? Do they no longer understand? They are, however, highly intelligent. That explains how they were able to deliver hit after hit.” “Those who couldn’t work with them, for whatever reason—date problems, creative differences, or simply not liking that person’s face—branded them crazy,” he continued.
