Local reports state that the teenager passed away on Sunday, September 1, at his Blumenau, Brazil, home.
At his Brazilian home, a teenage bodybuilder was discovered dead.
According to the Santa Catarina Fire Department, bodybuilder Matheus Pavlak, 19, appeared to have had a heart attack at his Blumenau home on Sunday, September 1. Local media outlets Rede Globo and O Estado de Sao Paulo reported on the incident.
According to O Estado de Sao Paulo, Pavlak’s former training coach Lucas Chegatti revealed that the athlete changed his body to overcome obesity as a young teen, and as a result, he rose to prominence in the sport.
After learning of Pavlak’s passing, Chegatti honored him on Instagram.
“Today is a sad day to end,” he wrote in a Portuguese-language message. “The death of a great friend, an extraordinary boy who leaves us early, a sudden and unexpected death; he was a respectable athlete with a bright future ahead of him.”
“It’s hard to comprehend; words cannot describe the burden he bears in my heart,” he went on. “I’m really proud to have had the chance to care for him like a son—I was his first coach.”
“I told him that one day he would defeat me, and when we faced off for the first time, he prevailed. Although he was no longer on my team, I am confident that I produced a fantastic athlete 🖤. May God provide solace to the family and watch over our son.
