After the horrible ski tragedy, Ralf talked about his feelings about life and his connection with Michael Schumacher during their early F1 careers.
Ralf Schumacher has acknowledged that he misses the good old days with his brother Michael Schumacher, but he has also come to terms with the fact that unfair things happen in life. The Schumacher brothers were the first siblings to win an F1 race, and they used to dominate the racetracks.
Additionally, they are the only siblings to have placed first and second on the same race’s finished podium. But when Michael suffered a terrible crash and banged his head on a rock while skiing in the French Alps, their lives took an unexpected turn. Since then, the family has kept the F1 legend’s health a closely-guarded secret, leading to a low-key lifestyle.
Michael reportedly made his first public appearance after the accident at his daughter’s wedding, where he surprised everyone by showing up.
After the horrible ski tragedy, Ralf talked about his feelings about life and his connection with Michael during their early F1 careers.
Ralf, a former Formula One driver, said in an interview with the German magazine Bunte: “Sadly, life isn’t always fair. It is something we must acknowledge. When I see his children Gina-Maria and Mick, my heart smiles. I’m available to offer counsel if someone in the family asks me. They follow their own path.
“I miss the Michael of the old days,” he admitted. Sometimes life is not fair. Michael experienced great luck all of his life. Then there was this terrible mishap, though. Michael was more than just my sibling. He was also my coach and mentor when we were young. He gave me the complete education in kart racing.”
In the meantime, Ralf and her ex-wife, Cora, have been at odds since he recently came out as gay. The pair split up and were divorced back in 2015. But once Ralf came out as gay and said in July that he was seeing his French business manager Etienne, things took a turn for the worst.
Cora described her former husband’s statement as “like a stab in the heart” in an interview with Der Spiegel.
“Today, I feel used during the marriage,” she continued. I believe that my best years have been spent. I pose a lot of questions to myself. Was he truthful with me?
Ralf, however, made the accusation that Cora was aware of his union with Etienne and released screenshots of a purported WhatsApp conversation from the previous year in which Cora seemed to congratulate Etienne on his new partner.
Ralf has finally made the decision to sell the home he formerly owned and shared with Cora, his ex-wife.
The home is currently being marketed for sale by Marlies Muhr Real Estate, with an asking price of €4.85 million, or £4.07 million, according to a Daily Mail article.
