Mumbai will host Lollapalooza India on March 8 and 9, 2025. The lineup for this edition was revealed by the organizers on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the organizers of Lollapalooza India, a two-day musical extravaganza, revealed the lineup for its 2025 edition. In addition to rising stars like Hanumankind, the festival’s 2019 lineup will include international superstars like Shawn Mendes and Green Day.
Lollapalooza line-up
On March 8 and 9, 2025, the multi-genre music festival Lollapalooza will return to India for its third edition. This edition will feature performances by artists from pop, rock, hip-hop, EDM, and techno over the course of four stages and twenty hours.
The following are notable members of the roster for the upcoming edition:
Green Day
For the first time in their more than 35-year career, the American rock group—which consists of drummer Tré Cool, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, and lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong—will play in India. The five-time Grammy Award winners announced on Tuesday morning that they will be the main acts at Lollapalooza India in 2025 on their Instagram handle. It’s our second first! India, you’ve been calling our name, and now is the appropriate moment to respond. We’ll see you at @LollaIndia in Mumbai in March of next year (yo emoji),” they wrote.
Shawn Mendes
The festival will also feature a performance by the 26-year-old Canadian popstar. With the caption, “So excited @lollaindia (red heart emojis),” he posted the lineup to Instagram Stories.
Hanumankind
Big Dawgs, an English song that became an international hit, is the latest release from Indian rapper Hanumankind. On YouTube, it has received more than 57 million views. Writer and composer of the song, it became well-known for its politically charged lyrics about identity and its imaginative music video, which was filmed inside the iconic ‘wall of death’ carnival attraction.
In addition, Hanumankind—real name: Sooraj Cherukat—will appear in the Malayalam crime film Rifle Club, directed by Aashiq Abu, as the son of Anurag Kashyap. Hanumankind is playing in Bengaluru and Mumbai on September 13 and 15, respectively, prior to Lollapalooza.
Louis Tomlinson, Raftaar, Dot., and Lisa Mishra—who recently made her acting debut in Call Me Bae—are among the other artists on the lineup.
