AAP’s dedication to people has allegedly been eclipsed by Kailash Gahlot’s “political ambitions” while he was in charge of the Transport portfolio.
One day after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party, former Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot is expected to join the BJP on Monday. “An eminent personality will join BJP today at 12:30 PM,” the party’s publicity cell announced. The important Delhi elections are only a few months away from this development.
AAP’s dedication to people has allegedly been eclipsed by Gahlot’s “political ambitions” while he was in charge of the Transport portfolio. When Galot resigned, he told AAP convener Arvind Kejriw, “Instead of fighting for people’s rights we have increasingly only been fighting for our own political agenda.”
AAP Faces Grave Challenges: Kailash Gahlot
As he pointed out various “awkward” and “embarrassing” incidents like “sheeshmahal,” the well-known Jat leader also poked fun at Kejriwal, claiming that it makes people question whether “we still believe in being ‘Aam Aadmi’.” The BJP has been accusing Kejriwal of spending crores on opulent furnishings and state-of-the-art amenities in his official mansion, which they have referred to as “sheeshmahal.”
“The Aam Aadmi Party has serious obstacles to overcome. internal obstacles to the core principles that united us as AAP members. Our dedication to people has been overshadowed by political aspirations, leaving many pledges unmet,” Gahlot noted in the letter.
As a “dirty political conspiracy” of the BJP that was “misusing” federal agencies, AAP leaders claimed that Gahlot was under investigation by the ED and CBI and had no choice but to join the party.
“The ED and CBI raids put pressure on Kailash Gahlot, and now he is speaking in accordance with the BJP’s script,” AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated.
AAP Has Undergone Political Conversion: BJP
Shehzad Poonawalla, the national spokesperson for the BJP, claimed that the AAP had undergone “political conversion” in order to become “khas” (privileged).
According to the BJP, Gahlot left the party, like many others before him, because the AAP had strayed from its original principles. “It is now the Arvind Aadmi Party,” declared the BJP chief.
With immediate effect, Gahlot, the Najafgarh MLA, submitted his resignation from the council of ministers. Chief Minister Atishi will continue to hold his portfolios.
Raaj Kumar Anand resigned from his position as the AAP government’s Social Welfare minister and left the party in April. In July, he joined the BJP. In September, former AAP minister Rajendra Pal Gautam left the party and joined the Congress.
