The NTA declared that registrations would open soon and that the exam will return to its previous format beginning with the JEE Main 2025 cycle.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam will no longer have optional questions in Section B, according to a statement released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech), Paper 2 A (B Arch), and Paper 2 B (B Planning) would be affected, according to the agency.
Initially, the option to respond to five out of ten questions was only offered temporarily to solve issues brought on by the Covid epidemic.
“It has been decided to discontinue the optional selection of questions since the UN World Health Organization (WHO) on the COVID-19 declared an end of public health emergency on May 5, 2023,” according to an NTA statement on the matter.
“Within JEE (Main) 2025, candidates will only be able to attempt all five questions in each subject, Section B will only contain five questions per subject, and there will be no options for selection for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech), Paper 2 A (B Arch), and Paper 2 B (B Planning).” The statement went on.
The NTA added that the JEE (Main) – 2025 Information Bulletin would have the comprehensive Pattern of Examination.
The NTA stated in its announcement that the JEE Main 2025 exam registration dates “will be starting in due course of time,” despite not having disclosed them. JEE Main 2025’s official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in.
