Nintendo’s Direct comes after major Xbox and PlayStation displays.
The next Nintendo Direct display has officially been revealed by Nintendo, and it will take place on June 18—that is, tomorrow. It should be huge because it’s the first Nintendo Direct in a long time and it’s happening during the busiest part of Not-E3 season. Here’s how to watch and what to expect from the June 18 Nintendo Direct.
How to watch the Nintendo Direct
Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels will stream the Nintendo Direct event, and we’ve integrated it here on the website so you can watch it in its entirety.
Nintendo Direct start time
The Nintendo Direct is scheduled to begin at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET on Tuesday, June 18.
What to expect
Nintendo has a lengthy history of hosting June E3-style events, and the company has stated that the 40-minute presentation would be centered around Nintendo Switch games that will launch in the second half of 2024. News about the Nintendo Switch 2 won’t be released at the occasion. Nintendo stated that “there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor” at the presentation.
The firm did not specifically specify any titles that might be shown at the Nintendo Direct, although we might hear about a short update for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (even though it comes out next week and isn’t really a game coming out in the second half of 2024). A further contender for what might surface is the long-awaited announcement of Metroid Prime 4. Who knows? Despite not being released until 2025, Pokemon Legends Z-A might also make an appearance.
Fans are naturally enthusiastic for this Nintendo Direct since, given its 40-minute duration, it’s expected to be a heavy one packed with games. Just be aware that there won’t be any updates on the upcoming Nintendo system company is apparently saving a bigger reveal for sometime later on.
