Regarding the three adults who were also shot during the event, police are awaiting word on their health.
Four individuals were shot in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting on a popular high street in east London, leaving a youngster critically injured.
At approximately 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, it occurred on Hackney’s Kingsland High Street.
When the gunshot occurred, families were sitting outside enjoying dinner. According to witnesses who spoke with News, they initially assumed it was fireworks until they heard a motorbike screech away.
With gunshot wounds, all four victims were transported to the hospital.
Though police claimed no arrests had been made as of yet, specialized firearms cops had been contacted.
On Thursday morning, dishes of food and half-drunk beers were still arranged on tables at the Turkish eatery Evin.
The plastic gloves used by paramedics were lying on the ground behind the police barrier, and chairs looked as though they had been pushed aside in a rush.
People received text messages urging them to stay inside, a woman sleeping in the hotel across the street said News.
The toddler is in a bad condition, according to the Metropolitan Police, and the agency is awaiting word on the three adults.
Quick inquiries are being made, and we’ll provide an update as soon as we can. Please get in touch with us if you have any information,” stated Matt Ward, deputy assistant commissioner of the Met Police.
Multiple resources were despatched, including a trauma team from the air ambulance, according to a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
“We treated three adults and one child at the scene before taking them all to a major trauma centre,” read a statement.
