Five bogies of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express overturned near Motiganj on the Gonda-Gorakhpur railway line, killing three people. While many people are feared to be injured. The injured were admitted to the railway hospital.
CM Yogi expressed grief
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the Gonda train accident. He also directed the district administration officials to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing.
District administration officials have been directed to carry out relief and rescue operations on a war footing and to take the injured to the hospital on top priority and provide them proper treatment.
Meanwhile, the railway’s relief and rescue team has reached the spot. Northeast Railway said that relief and rescue work is being done on a war footing. Along with this, a helpline number has also been issued to help the railway passengers.

After the bogies derailed, there was a lot of screaming and shouting. The injured people were groaning in pain. They were also wandering here and there in search of their loved ones.
On receiving the information about the accident, the police immediately reached the spot and senior officials of the district administration also started arriving at the spot. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital for treatment.
After the coaches derailed, people from other coaches came forward to help and took out the people trapped inside.
Other passengers came forward to help the people trapped in the bogie and pulled them out. Also, after getting the information, villagers from nearby villages also came forward to help.
After the incident, a large crowd gathered at the spot.
