A female motorcyclist involved in an accident on Mulgrave’s Monash Freeway sustained potentially fatal injuries.
On Wednesday, June 19, around 6.15 a.m., three cars and the cyclist crashed in the inbound lanes, according to the police.
According to authorities, the rider—who has not yet been named—was brought to the hospital with potentially fatal injuries.
At the scene, every driver of the automobiles came to a stop.
The driver of a Nissan hatchback was taken to the hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries.
The 34-year-old Pakenham man who is driving a Nissan Patrol is helping the police with their investigation at the moment.
Detectives from the Major incident Investigation Unit are examining the circumstances leading up to the incident while they are on the site.

The Monash Freeway was still closed inbound between East Link and Wellington Road as of 9.30am.
On the highway and nearby roads, such as EastLink northbound, Wellington Road between Rowville and Mulgrave, the Princes Highway through Noble Park and Springvale, as well as Gladstone, Police, and Jacksons roads, delays were allegedly decreasing to 45 minutes.
There are closures on the EastLink to Monash Freeway ramps in both directions. It is recommended that drivers utilize the ramps located on Wellington Road or the Princes Highway.
There are up to fifteen-minute delays in the northbound lanes of EastLink due to congestion from Cheltenham Road. A good substitute is Springvale Road, the Department of Transport says.
