The organization in British Columbia doesn’t think any employee or customer data has been compromised.
A “cybersecurity incident” has forced London Drugs locations in Western Canada to close until further notice.
The problem was found on Sunday morning, and all retail locations were closed, according to the firm.
As to the corporate statement, “London Drugs promptly implemented countermeasures to safeguard its network and data, which involved hiring top-tier cybersecurity experts from outside to help with containment, cleanup, and forensic investigation.”
A store staffer in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighborhood informed incoming clients that all of the computers were unavailable, although some customers seemed to be let entry to pick up prescription drugs.
As of Sunday afternoon, the londondrugs.com online store seems to be up and running.
The business declared that it did not think any employee or customer data had been compromised.
Customers can phone branches to get their emergency prescription fills filled by pharmacists.
Over 8,000 people are employed by the B.C.-based corporation, which operates 80 outlets from Manitoba to Vancouver Island.
