Haney, also 25, is coming off a win over Regis Prograis, in a fight held in December 2023 in San Francisco.

Ryan Garcia was over three pounds over the stipulated weight of 140 pounds when he weighed in on Friday. Although Haney’s WBC super lightweight title belt will not be up for grabs, the bout is still scheduled to take place.
