According to Akhilesh Yadav, the alliance’s choice was driven by its desire for triumph rather than any seat-sharing calculations.
Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, declared on Wednesday that candidates from the INDIA bloc will run for all nine seats in the next by-elections on his party’s election symbol, the “cycle.”
He said that the alliance’s choice was driven more by its desire for triumph than by any seat-sharing calculations.
“The Samajwadi Party and Congress are unified and will work together to achieve a significant victory. In a post on X, Mr. Yadav stated, “The India bloc will write a new chapter of victory in this by-election.”
“With this unprecedented cooperation and support, every worker of ‘INDIA bloc’ on all 9 assembly seats is filled with new energy with the resolve to win,” he stated.
The upcoming election, according to the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, will be fought for the defense of the nation’s Constitution, peace, and the honor of “Pichchde (backwards), Dalit, and Alpsankhyak (Minorities).” Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Meerapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhawan (Mirzapur), Sishamau (Kanpur city), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj), and Kundarki (Moradabad) are the nine constituencies for which by-elections are scheduled for November 13.
A by-election is being held for the Sisamau seat because SP MLA Irfan Solanki was disqualified for his criminal conviction, while eight of these seats became vacant after their MLAs were elected as MPs in the Lok Sabha.
Initially, the Congress had called for five of the ten assembly seats, including Milkipur.
