Actor Tony Todd, who was renowned for his parts in Candyman and Final Destination, died at the age of 69. On November 6, he passed away at home in Los Angeles.

He is best remembered for his portrayal of Daniel Robitaille, aka Candyman, in the 1992 horror film and its 2021 sequel. This iconic role, Todd brought to life the vengeful ghost of an African American artist who is killed for falling in love with a white woman.
In addition to Candyman, Todd starred as funeral home owner William Bludworth in The Crow, The Rock, and Final Destination. In Star Trek: The Next Generation, he also played the role of Kurn, Worf’s (Michael Dorn) brother and a Commander in the Klingon Defense Force.
Tony Todd won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the New York City Horror Film Festival for his significant contributions to the horror genre, particularly his legendary performance in Candyman in 1992.
