Filming ‘The Running Man’ in London, the actor will finish off his remaining schoolwork at the University of Texas at Austin.
Glen Powell is an expert at multitasking. The Twisters actor claims he will complete his next film and most of his degree over Zoom, but he will return to the University of Texas at Austin campus for final exams.
Powell told IndieWire, “I’m not going to be sitting in a class with other students on a regular basis.” “I have to wrap everything, so I’m basically going to be returning, but I’m shooting The Running Man in the fall. I will therefore be in London, but I will also be returning for proctored tests. They are therefore allowing me to solve it [via] distant learning.
The Running Man director Edgar Wright “has been very nice about letting me finish my degree in the middle of his massive movie,” according to the Hit Man star, who added that the hybrid schedule will see him visit two or three times a semester.
In a May cover story for The Hollywood Reporter, Powell disclosed his intention to get his degree after telling Lacey Rose he was returning to Texas. Regarding his recent professional achievement, the actor remarked, “It’s like I’ve earned the ability to go back to my family.” The actor had been residing in the Hollywood Hills since Top Gun: Maverick. Regarding the relocation, he remarked, “I think this is going to be good for my head, heart, and soul.”
Next year, he will finish his degree in Early American History and Spanish. When asked about completing the degree he began before becoming well-known in Hollywood, he responded, “I think it’s really important to my mom and it’s more of an emotional thing for me.” “Plus, I can taste it because I’m so close.”
