The annual Training Camp ceremony known as “87 Day,” which honors and remembers 49ers legend Dwight Clark while also raising awareness for those affected by ALS, will take place at the end of this year’s open practices. The 49ers Foundation will give all ticket sales earnings from 87 Day to the Golden Heart Fund, a player-led community that assists former 49ers in assisting one another as they navigate the obstacles of life beyond the NFL.
Throughout Training Camp, the 49ers will host a number of nonprofit and community organizations from the Bay Area in the Community Corner for a VIP experience in an effort to spotlight different subject areas.
Every faithful attendee will have the chance to take part in the 49ers Foundation’s Dig for Gold Auction & Sale, which will allow them to take home a piece of 49ers history when they depart Training Camp. A variety of artifacts, including player-worn gear, team-issued apparel, autographed memorabilia, and bits of 49ers history, are being offered for online and in-person auction. If a Faithful member is feeling very fortunate, they can also buy a 49ers mystery bag that contains unexpected Niners goodies. The 49ers Foundation is the beneficiary of all Dig for Gold earnings.
Red Lot 1 will provide free parking, and shuttle buses will transport attendees straight to the SAP Performance Facility. Water stations will be provided, but concessions won’t be for sale.
