Today, July 1, the results of the Civil Service (Preliminary) Examinations 2024 have been made public by the Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC. Those who took the exam can view their results at upsc.gov.in, the official website.
After passing the Civil Services preliminary exams, successful candidates move on to the UPSC CSE Mains 2024, the next and most important stage, and finally the interview or personality test round.
In an official statement, the commission stated, “These candidates’ candidacies are provisional.” All of these applicants must reapply using the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, in compliance with the examination’s rules. Dates and crucial guidelines for completing the DAF-I and submitting it will be made available on the Commission’s website in due course.
Notably, on June 16, numerous exam centers across the nation hosted the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024. Two objective-type (multiple-choice) tests made up the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, which had a maximum score of 400.
The UPSC had previously declared that it would use the minimum qualifying mark of 33% in General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and the total qualifying mark of General Studies Paper-I of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination to compile a list of candidates eligible for the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
The UPSC Civil agencies 2024 test will be used to fill 1056 positions in central government departments and agencies. The Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) are examples of this. Forty positions are been aside for those who fall within the benchmark disability category.
