This occurs one day after the father of the teenager was charged for “failing to do his duty as a guardian” under the applicable provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act (JJA) and the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA). The police discovered that he had not paid the ₹44 lakh road tax on the Porsche he had purchased for his son in March of this year, which was why the car had not yet been registered. In addition, his little son lacked a driver’s license.
Two techies, Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, were killed in a car accident that happened on Sunday morning in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar neighborhood. The 17-year-old lad was driving a Porsche when it crashed with a motorcycle. The police claimed that the young child was operating the Porsche at 160 kmph at the time of the collision based on the CCTV footage.
The boy celebrated his Class 12 results on Saturday night by throwing a party for his buddies, as reported to the police. The gang spent the evenings driving about and drinking at various restaurants in the city.
Although the youngster was placed under arrest following the event, a Pune judge released him on bond a few hours later, with the conditions that he write an essay analyzing the incident, get assistance in quitting alcohol, and perform volunteer work with the Pune traffic police.
Nonetheless, the bail requirement sparked a number of protests throughout the city. The police then declared that they would request permission from a higher court to try the 17-year-old boy as an adult.
