The US Police on Wednesday denied the media reports, stating that “this is absolutely not true,” hours after they had been making the rounds suggesting that Goldy Brar, the main suspect in the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala, had been shot and killed in California.
According to a number of media publications that referenced American news channels, Brar was attacked by unidentified individuals on Tuesday night at 5:25 p.m. between Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno while he was waiting outside a house with a friend. The gangster’s death was widely reported on social media as well.
After being taken to the hospital in a hurry, Brar and his friend were informed that Brar had died from his wounds.
The reports did state that formal confirmation was still pending, though.
Two people were reportedly shot in Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno after an incident, according to the NDTV story. One of the victims passed away in the hospital from his wounds, and on social media, there were a number of rumors that the dead person might be the Canadian mobster Brar.
The man who was slain in the event has now been identified as 37-year-old Xavier Galdney, according to several local sources.
