According to family reports, renowned Bengali theater figure Manoj Mitra passed away on Tuesday morning in a Kolkata hospital from age-related illnesses. Mitra was best known for his fantasy plays and farces that frequently addressed social and political themes. He was eighty-six.
At around 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Manoj Mitra passed away, according to a hospital doctor. “He had several health problems when he was admitted to the hospital on November 3, and as time went on, his condition deteriorated. The doctor told PTI, “Unfortunately, he left us this morning.”
