Hairstylist Jane Roe, who claims to have seen bouts of harassment and a 2019 hotel room assault, has accused country music icon Garth Brooks of sexual assault.
Renowned country music performer Garth Brooks is the target of severe accusations of abuse and sexual assault. In a lawsuit filed in a California court, “Jane Roe,” a hairstylist and cosmetics artist, claims that Brooks sexually assaulted her while she was on a work trip in a hotel room. A pattern of harassment, including frequent exposure, sexually suggestive comments, and unwanted touching, is also described in the claim.
It is said that the incidences took place in 2019. To date, Brooks’ legal team has refuted the accusations and even brought a lawsuit just prior to Roe.
As the music business suffers from the recent arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, yet another renowned player has become enmeshed in an increasing wave of sexual abuse claims. The Grammy Award-winning country music musician is accused of sending obscene texts, regularly exposing himself, talking about his sexual aspirations, and abusing his makeup artists.
According to the lawsuit that CNN was able to receive, these occurrences happened in 2019. According to the story, Roe joined Brooks’ crew in 1999 to work as a hairstyle and makeup artist for his wife, Trisha Yearwood. She started working with him as a hairstylist and makeup artist in 2017.
Accusations against Garth Brooks
In a 2019 incident, Garth Brooks, 62, is accused in the lawsuit of walking out of the shower naked, grabbing the woman’s hands, and forcing them into his genitalia while using improper and sexually explicit language.
In a different lawsuit from May 2019, it is claimed that Brooks violated Jane Roe’s sexual rights in a Los Angeles hotel room when she was traveling for a Grammy tribute performance. Jane Roe goes by Jane Roe.
According to the complaint, Roe traveled to Los Angeles with Brooks in his private jet and was surprised to find themselves the only ones there. When Roe arrived at the hotel, she claims she was taken aback to discover that Brooks had reserved a suite without a separate bedroom for her. She says she felt vulnerable and alone with Brooks when he appeared nude at the doorway, trapping her.
According to the lawsuit, Brooks continued to harass and assault his wife after the rape, even “groping and telling her sexual fantasies,” and he “repeated remarks” about “having a threesome” with her.
Garth Brooks denies allegations
According to CNN, Brooks had previously refuted the claims, saying, “Defendant’s allegations are not true. Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person.” According to the statement, “in addition to the inevitable harm to his family and the irreversible harm to his career and livelihood that would result if she followed through on her threat to ‘publicly file’ her fabricated lawsuit.”
According to Garth Brooks, the accusations of sexual misbehavior started when he turned down defendant Roe’s request for paid work and health benefits.
But according to Roe’s lawyers, Brooks’ proactive legal action in Mississippi was a last-ditch effort to scare their client into staying silent. They commended their client for her fortitude in continuing and conveyed their confidence that Brooks will be held responsible for his crimes. “The complaint filed today demonstrates that there are sexual predators in the country music industry as well as in corporate America, Hollywood, the rap and rock and roll industries.”
