Govinda, an actor and Shiv Sena leader, was taken to the hospital early this morning after inadvertently shooting himself in the leg with a licensed revolver that misfired. Before leaving, at around 4:45 AM, he was inspecting the firearm when the incident happened. Initial accounts suggest that the bullet damaged his knee, prompting quick medical attention at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. Govinda’s team and family have not yet made a formal comment on his status.
The actor was scheduled to fly to Kolkata early in the morning, according to reports. Govinda was brought to the hospital at 5:15 AM, and sources within the hospital presently state that he is not in any danger. In order to evaluate the situation, the police have shown up, and they have taken Govinda’s handgun into custody. The matter is presently being looked into.
Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was preparing to travel to Kolkata, according to Shashi Sinha, the actor’s manager, who provided an update on the actor’s health to ANI. His licensed revolver was in the case when it slipped out of his grasp and fired, striking his leg. After the bullet was extracted by the doctor, he is in good shape. He’s currently in the hospital.
Comedy blockbusters such as Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Raja Babu, Rajaji, Partner, and others are credited to Govinda. Govinda’s most recent big-screen appearance was in Pahlaj Nihalani’s 2019 flick Rangeela Raja. Regrettably, Govinda’s acting career has been on pause ever since the film’s box office collapse.
Even though Govinda hasn’t made movies since 2019, there was a period when fans excitedly anticipated his upcoming projects. He was a popular star in Bollywood during the 1980s and 90s. But as time went on, his career started to wane; Partner, which came out in 2007, was his last big hit.
Govinda found it difficult to score another box office success after 2007. After Partner, he starred in thirteen more movies, none of which were commercial successes, including low-budget productions like Rangeela Raja. Films like Friday, Aa Gaya Hero, Rangeela Raja, Happy Ending, Kill Dil, Deewana Main Deewana, Loot, Naughty @40, Raavan, Do Knot Disturb, Life Partner, Chala Tala Chal, and Money Hai To Honey Hai were all considered box office failures and catastrophes, according to Box Office India.
