The Aam Aadmi Party unanimously decided on Tuesday that Atishi would be the next chief minister of Delhi following Arvind Kejriwal’s suggestion of her name for the position during a gathering of the party’s lawmakers.
After being freed from prison on Friday, Arvind Kejriwal declared on Sunday that he would step down from his position and wouldn’t return until he received an honesty certificate.
