Navya captioned her photo, saying, “The next two years… with the best people and faculty.”
Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, recently enrolled at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. Navya recently announced her admission on Instagram and posted a number of photos from the esteemed university. Dreams come true, indeed. The greatest faculty and people for the next two years! The caption for her photo read, “Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026.” She shared pictures of her new pals and the lovely campus as well. She also thanked her teacher on Instagram Stories for his advice in helping her pass the CAT/IAT entrance exams by posting a photo of herself slicing a cake.
For those who are unfamiliar, the Blended Post Graduate Programme is a hybrid course that combines live, interactive online classes with on-campus sessions. It was introduced earlier this year. The program, which is aimed at professionals with at least three years of experience, is made to help working people and entrepreneurs balance their academic goals with their professional obligations.
Navya’s friends and family congratulated her in the Instagram comment section as soon as she shared the news. Shweta Bachchan, Navya’s mother, said, “You make me so proud baby…” Emojis were used by her pals Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, and Shanaya Kapoor to show their support in the interim. Along with actors Karishma Kapoor and Sonali Bendre, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also congratulated Navya.
What The Hell Navya was a podcast that Navya, her mother Shweta, and grandmother Jaya Bachchan used to host. Women’s roles in society and feminism were discussed in the episodes. In June, Shweta made it clear that, despite her family’s close ties to Bollywood, Navya has no plans to work in the film industry. “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does and she has her hands full,” Shweta said, accepting an award for the podcast on her daughter’s behalf. Bollywood isn’t what I would recommend for her.”
