Football fans have always found YouTube to be interesting. Beginning with Joga Bonito videos and highlights, football-related podcasts and talk shows have proliferated, with many former and present players contributing. Therefore, it came as no surprise when Cristiano Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel on Wednesday and joined the trend.
The Portugal captain announced on social media that the wait is over. At last, my @YouTube channel is live! Come along with me on this new journey by subscribing.
Shortly after he uploaded his debut video, the channel amassed 1.69 million subscribers. On Thursday, Ronaldo will be playing for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League against Al Raed. Ronaldo also shattered the record on YouTube when he acquired 10 million subscribers in a single day. It surpassed Hamster Kombat’s previous record, which stood for seven days.
After losing to Al Hilal in the last Spanish Super Cup final, Ronaldo and Al Nassr will try to get back on track. Ronaldo scored the only goal as Al Nassr collapsed to a 1-4 loss. In the meantime, Malcom, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Aleksandar Mitrovic all put their names on the scoresheet and scored a brace for Al Hilal.
Ronaldo’s current goal is to undermine Al Hilal’s supremacy in the national league. Al Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly expressed his concerns to The Associated Press, saying, “I’m feeling a lot of apprehension because this season is going to be very difficult.” Although it was a challenging championship, we prevailed last year. All the teams will be vying to defeat Al Hilal this year.”
“Our players are eager for Neymar to return. We are aware that his injury will require some time to heal, but fans will witness a fantastic Neymar. When we watch him in training, he remains driven.
“It is anticipated that Neymar’s squad will participate in that competition. So in order to get him out there and in the best possible shape to help us win trophies, we’re going to do everything in training,” he continued.
