Remarkably, Shotgun, a Japanese drama series, topped the list with 25 nominations, the most nominations for the Emmy Awards 2024. The Bear, a comedy film that garnered 23 nominations, came next.
Other shows on the list include the 21-ranked “Only Murders in the Building” starring Steve Martin, “True Detective: Night Country” starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, and the 18-ranked “The Crown” starring Claire Foy and Matt Smith.
On Wednesday morning, the nominations for the 2204 Emmy Awards were announced. In 2023, SAG-AFTRA and WGA staged extensive strikes in Hollywood.
Shogun received nominations for best drama series, best actor by Hiroyuki Sanada, and best actress in a drama series by Anna Sawai.
The creators of the show declared that they intended to produce more seasons, converting the critically acclaimed drama limited series into a more esteemed drama series.
